Tonkinese Rescue & Re-Homing
These are actually two different activities.

In the UK both the Tonkinese Breed Club and the Tonkinese Cat Club maintain a Rescue & Welfare service for Tonkinese that have been found/lost. If possible they try to find the owner of the cat and return the cat to its own home, if it is not possible then the service will try to match the cat with a suitable new owner. Neither Club will have a cat put to sleep except on the considered advice of a vet.

The Rescue & Welfare services also help owners who, for various reasons, need to re-home their Tonkinese - but not if the owners are looking to sell their cats.

The Tonkinese Breed Club also provides a page on its web site for Tonkinese breeders who may need to find permanent homes for retired breeding queens or studs, where the cats are unable to settle in their current homes after being neutered.
